Dr. Ryan Barrett

Dr. Barrett received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He received his bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri with Summa Cum Laude honors. He was a Presidential Scholar at Palmer College and a member of the Honors Program at MSSU.

Dr. Barrett became interested in NUCCA after watching his father avoid back surgery through this procedure. As Dr. Barrett became a patient later that same year, his asthma that he had for over 10 years healed, and he was able to get off all his medications within one month of receiving his first spinal correction. Because of those events, he dedicated his life to learning more about this procedure and sharing it with as many people as possible.

Since moving to Tahlequah, he has been actively involved in the community of Tahlequah. He is a 15-year Chamber of Commerce member, Past-President and Board Member of Tahlequah Rotary Club, a 5-year Board Member at Cornerstone Church, and a Boys and Girls Club volunteer coach for various sports. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Chiropractors Association, International Chiropractors Association and Upper Cervical Care Association. Dr. Barrett married the love of his life, Kari, in 2001 and they are blessed with two amazing children.

Dr. Barrett has a deep love and passion for chiropractic. His greatest joy professionally is now witnessing others receive the same restoration to health he received years earlier.

Office Manager – Megan

Megan is our Office Manager as well as one of our Certified Chiropractic Assistants. She began working at Barrett Spinal Care in June of 2005.

Since middle school, Megan always suffered from migraine headaches that would put her in bed for the rest of the day and on occasion, would last 2-3 days. After she began working at Barrett Spinal Care she started to talk to Dr. Barrett about the problems that she had for so long. She soon began treatments and noticed that she was not getting the migraines like she did before.

She has lived in Tahlequah all her life and loves it because her family lives close by. She loves spending time with family and friends as much as possible. Her favorite quote that she tries to live by is “Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly, and leave the rest to God!”

Chiropractic Assistant – Julie

Julie is our Registered Radiologic Technologist, as well as one of our Certified Chiropractic Assistants. She graduated from the Radiology Program at Muskogee’s Indian Capital Technology Center in May of 2012. She is a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

Julie joined the Barrett Spinal Care team in December of 2013. She is a firm believer in God’s planning and felt like this job opportunity was an answered prayer. Julie loves helping others and she loves seeing the positive effects of how Upper Cervical Chiropractic helps her patients. She always tells people, “If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! You don’t have to hurt!! I’ve seen time and time again life changing outcomes. What are you waiting for?”
